Wine information

The 2019 Pinot Blanc Pino.T comes from Tement's Ried Sulztal site with limestone marl and loamy sandy soils. Ried Sulz, as it is commonly called, is a warm, self-contained kettle site with a south-southwest orientation. After hand harvesting, sorting and spontaneous fermentation, the wine was fermented down to 1.1 grams of residual sugar in neutral 700-litre oak barrels and aged there for 22 months on the fine lees and bottled unfiltered.

Color

Light straw yellow with silver and green reflections

Nose

The 2019 PINO.T Reed Sulz is a Pinot Blanc that combines freshness and elegance. On the nose, it is reminiscent of green and yellow apples, pears, tangerines and grapefruit zest, a hint of rhubarb and mirabelles. On top, there is a little beeswax, a hint of petrichor and dry herbs, stone and white nougat.

Palate

On the palate the PINO.T intense, sensual and silky, but also lively and fresh because of the discreet acid structure. The fruit is juicy with a melange of the aforementioned pome fruit, mirabelles and a little peach, lemons and grapefruits as well as red and white currant. The wine offers tension, grip and has additional drinkability because of the slightly salty note in the finish.

  • Viennese escalope of milk-fed veal with purple potato and cabbage salad
  • Char with flower pollen, yellow plums and almonds
  • Steamed courgette flowers with cereal risotto and wild mushrooms
