  • 🎨 Color: No specific colour details are given, but a light, bright colour with fine bubbles is typical of champagne.
  • 👃 Aroma: Even if specific aromas are not described, we expect pure, precise flavours with possibly citrus and mineral notes from a Zéro Dosage champagne.
  • 👅 Taste: The flavour is characterised by a lively acidity structure, typical of Zéro Dosage champagnes, which is probably crisp, fresh and complex on the palate.
  • 🎭 Character: A driving force in the range, highlighted by the tradition of careful production and the absence of malolactic fermentation, emphasises the naturalness and purity of the aromas.
  • 🍽️ Food recommendations: The perfect accompaniment to fine starters, light seafood or as an aperitif to emphasise the clarity and freshness of the wine.
  • Special features: A historical heritage since 1687, the early bottling of its own champagnes since 1928, pioneering work in the production of Zéro Dosage champagnes and the individual vinification of 40 parcels emphasise the uniqueness and mastery of the craft.

The Tarlant family has been producing wine in Œuilly since 1687. In 1911, Louis-Adrien Tarlant was involved in the uprisings of the Marne winegrowers. It was he who drew the consequences and bottled his own champagnes from 1928. In the 1980s, Jean-Mary Tarlant was one of the first to bottle a Zéro Dosage champagne. This has become the big attraction in Mélanie and Benoît Tarlant's range. Benoît has been working at the winery since 1999, when he was still able to work alongside his father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He now produces wine from seven different varieties, from 13 hectares and from 40 plots in four villages. Each parcel is vinified individually, and he uses different containers for this. The acid structure is important to him. He avoids biological acid reduction as much as possible in his wines.
