Color

Bright cherry red with slight cloudiness and light rim

Nose

Michael Andres reveals an original, quiet representative of this grape variety with his Pinot Noir from the N series. The nose reveals sour cherry and a little plum in a restrained form. The fruit is neither bold nor ripe at any point. It is discreet in the background. A hint of sloe, marzipan and almond kernels complement this idea very well. A breeze of freshly grated cinnamon supports the fruit par excellence. Absolute purism. I find this enormously inviting and increases the tension for the first sip enormously.

Palate

As expected, this Pinot Noir from 2020 is lean and taut. Its delicate 12.5% Vol suits it wonderfully. Absolutely on the filigree side of this grape variety. Hardly any tannin gets in the way of the sour cherry fruit. The acid structure is gripping but harmoniously integrated. Overall, it appears juicy and uncomplicated. The nose is confirmed one-to-one on the palate. In the aftertaste, too, sour cherry and a little plum come to the fore.
