Information
The grapes come from the chalk terroir of Villers-aux-Nœuds and from the clay-limestone slopes of Chamery. Plénitude represents the typicality of the Petite Montagne de Reims terroir. An assemblage of 50 % Chardonnay and 50 % Pinot Meunier was used here. There was no chaptalisation and no filtration or tartaric stabilisation. Plénitude contains 1.5 grams of dosage.
Color
medium straw yellow with lively mousseux
Nose
The Plénitude de Solemme is a fragrant champagne reminiscent of apples and apple peel mixed with a little noisette and biscuit. There is a hint of white flowers, some lemon zest and rocks.
Palate
On the palate, the champagne is fresh and pleasantly powerful. The perlage is dense and lively. It is pleasantly dry and the very low dosage provides just the right amount of charm. In addition to the apple flavours, there are red berries and some grapefruit. This is a successful introduction to the Champagne Solemme portfolio.
