Color:
Dark violet in colour with an opaque core, the wine shows clearly and brilliantly in the glass.
Nose:
Research and unrestrained aromas of fresh and partly dried dark berries rise to the nose. Blackberries and blueberries join hands with cranberries, elderberries and intense black cherry. With infectious composure, these represent pure Mallorcan joie de vivre. They are complemented by immense spice. It shows up in the form of beetroot, black pepper and hot rose pepper and lifts the berry scent from the sweet fraction in an overall impression that simply comes along wonderfully dark and dense without showing heaviness.
Palate:
Peppery spice is also what characterizes the opening of the 2018 Sincronia from Mesquida Mora on the palate. Neither too lush nor too weak on the chest, it combines a certain fullness and soft tannins with a nevertheless slender line and juiciness. This is marked by cherry fruit, red rooibos tea and a hint of liquorice in the finish. Animating acidity, which resembles that of a fully ripe blood orange and the red fruitiness of a pomegranate seed, paired with bitterness, meets soft tannin. Its perfect structure and uncomplicated lightness make this island wine simply juicy drinking pleasure.
