Color
A lively violet red, lightened by nuances in mauve reflections.

Nose
Here, a true Don Juan presents itself in the glass, distinguished by its unadulterated and lively freshness. A true symphony of sloe, mulberries, cranberries and jostaberries is accompanied by a rich bouquet of Mediterranean herbs. The scent of rosemary, thyme, juniper mingles with that of yeast and wild dark flowers. The complexity of this fragrance is impressive, complemented by notes of fruit tea, the sharp appeal of a pencil point and freshly ground pepper. Fine green influences, caused by green peppers, emphasise the refreshing and spicy character of this wine.

Palate
The 2020 red wine of Burgenland glides over the tongue with full juice, a subtle astringency as well as a fresh herbal note. Its tannins present themselves exceptionally polished, accompanied by a refreshing acidity. An imposing red wine that is a real pleasure when chilled with spicy dishes with an extensive selection of vegetables and herbs. It would be surprising if only one bottle remained on the table!

Food recommendations
Both a tarte of aubergines and goat's cheese with a fresh pesto, a juicy beef tomato filled with fragrant minced meat seasoned with rosemary and couscous, and a spicy lamb steak with wonderful herb butter and crunchy green peppers harmonise particularly well with this wine. Alternatively, pasta dishes with aglio e olio or a peperonata could be excellent with this refreshing wine accompaniment.
