Color
Deep violet-red, black in the core and colour-dense to the rim.
Nose
The 2017 Le Grand Rouge de Revelette impresses on the nose with earthy depth, peat, forest floor, liquorice and black walnuts. It needs air, so put it in the decanter, then mulberries, blackcurrants and blackberries emerge. Violets, cinnamon and noble high-proof bitter chocolate, leather and pepper as well as the smoke of a chimney also join.
Palate
A powerhouse meets our palate, compact fruit, firm and at the same time ripe tannins. A refreshing acidity that invigorates and exhilarates. Peter Fischer knows exactly what he is doing, he creates wines that not only impress but also give pure pleasure. When enjoying his wines, one sits mentally in his garden and enjoys not only his hospitality, but also Provençal delights.
