Wine information
30 hectares of vineyards, spread over 17 plots near Jouques, located about 30 kilometres north of Aix-en-Provence in the protection of the Montagne Sainte-Victoire, belong to Château Revelette. This is where the 2021 Blanc. It is a cuvée of about 50 % Rolle , Ugni Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc. The grape varieties were harvested separately, given around six hours of maceration and fermented at 17°C. There was a malolactic fermentation. The wine was matured in cement tanks.
Color
pale straw yellow
Nose
The Château Revelette Blanc 2022 is a bright fine southern white wine. The wine smells of hay and jasmine. In addition, there are apple blossoms and apples, pears and some quince, kumquat rind and some lemon. Underlying all this is a hint of chalk dust.
Palate
On the palate, the cuvée appears round and ripe with a juicy fruit and a ripe, initially discreet acidity. The wine is also characterised by pome fruit with a little ruffled apple, some blond tobacco and herbs. Towards the finale, the acidity comes more and more to the fore. The wine oscillates between tart and extract-sweet notes. There is also a little mouth-watering salt.
