It takes chutzpah to revive old, very steep and labour-intensive vineyards in 2015 in an area that was once world-famous for its wines and has experienced an unprecedented decline, and to found the first and only winery in decades. Victoria Ordóñez had the chutzpah and the right people at her side to set up this important project in the Sierras de Málaga. The daughter of a wine merchant had actually gained a doctorate in medicine. However, at some point she realised the unused wine-cultural heritage and the associated vineyards that had been left open and began to get involved. Málaga, that meant and still means above all Pédro Ximénez, previously mostly fortified and sweet, but in her case dry and terroir-emphasised. In addition, the region's second important grape variety, Moscatel de Málaga, is also causing a sensation.
