Info about the wine
Grapes harvested from good old vineyard sites around the town of Langenlois with its communities such as Zöbing, Gobelsburg, Schiltern and Mollands. Young and old vines grown almost exclusively on loess (80 %), 20 % come from gneiss weathered soils.
Vinification info
Spontaneous fermentation with short maceration over two to four weeks, 95 % steel tank and 5 % large wood - used oak barrels.
Color
Muted, cloudy golden yellow with delicate green reflections.
Nose
The nose of the 2019 Grüner Veltliner is reminiscent of juicy yellow fruits such as apricots, mirabelles, apple, citrus and ginger are also part of the game. The fruity scent is accompanied by wild herbs, yarrow and fine pepper notes, which give it exciting facets.
Palate
What a lively freshness on the palate, stimulating acidity meets distinct apple and ginger notes, lots of minerality and distinct saltiness. All components are wonderfully integrated into the juicy fruit. A wine that stimulates and gives great pleasure, as a soloist or in accompaniment of fine food, gladly with influence of vegetables and herbs.
