Wine information
The Pinot Noir comes from vineyards on the east and west sides of Lake Neusiedl. The soils are characterised by limestone near the cooler forest area on the Leithagebirge and gravelly-sandy-loamy sedimentary soils on the south-eastern edge of the Parndorfer Platte. The Pinot Noir was harvested in August, fermented spontaneously and left on the skins for a week before being pressed on the basket press and left on the fine lees in wooden fermentation racks for seven months.
Color
Slightly transparent garnet red tending towards violet
Nose
The young Pinot Noir already clearly fulfils the qualities of an ambitious wine on the nose. Vin de Soif It should be uncomplicated, lively, inviting, red-fruity and exciting. This is exactly the case here with notes of red and black berries, sour cherries, some yeast and earthy nuances. It is vital and easy to drink.
Palate
The Heinrichs call this "pub- and socially acceptable" Pinot Noirwhich combines the class of the variety with uncomplicated drinking pleasure and at the same time with the standards that a biodynamically produced and cleanly vinified Pinot Noir should fulfil. The only difference is that this wine is not intended to be a premier crus, but a juicy, sensual pleasure to drink, in which the glass is emptied faster than you can look. The tannins are fine-grained and subtle, the acidity silky and lively, the fruit crisp and fresh, garnished with fine spicy nuances. And all of this at just 11.5% vol. It's worth a glass more, even slightly chilled.
