Tasting note
Color:
Iridescent light golden yellow with clear green reflections.
Nose:
Wonderful, distinctive aroma of wood pear, apple and quince, mirabelle and fresh grapes, accompanied by a floral fragrance reminiscent of elderflower and hawthorn. All this is framed by stony and delicately smoky minerality - an aroma that animates to taste quickly.
Palate:
On the palate, the 2023 Wiener Gemischter Satz flirts with plenty of yellow fruit, delicate fruit sweetness and stimulating spice. An extremely animating wine that simply delights with its extremely charming style, which is enlivened by the grand finesse of its minerality. The perfect accompaniment to a wide variety of different dishes.
Food pairing suggestions
- Ribbon noodles with creamy parsley root sauce and roasted garlic (vegetarian)
- Brawn from boiled beef with mixed pixles and crispy farmer's bread
- Pike-perch fried on the skin with celeriac puree and cherry tomatoes
