Wine information
The Sankt Laurent Village is a wine characterised by a terroir with red, ferruginous clay soil. Whole 100% grapes are used in the production process. They are briefly crushed by foot in small wooden vats and fermented on the skins for around three weeks with moderate pigeage. The grapes are then pressed on an old basket press. The country wine is racked over the broquereau and matured exclusively in used wooden barrels, mainly barriques and pièces. No yeasts, enzymes, fining agents or filtration are used in the winemaking process. Depending on the vintage, a maximum of 30 mg sulphur is added.
Color

Nose
The 2020 Sankt Laurent Village impresses with opulent fruit, including sour cherries, blackcurrants, blueberries, blackberries and sweet wild raspberries. With increasing oxygen contact, many Mediterranean herbal and floral notes emerge, wonderfully complementing its intensely fruity character. It is characterised by plenty of fruit and refreshing coolness and is a real temptation for the first sip.
Palate
The juiciness continues on the palate with plenty of fruit. The fine and invigorating structure of this wine is simply a joy. The animating spiciness and the many herbal flavours give it an invigorating effect. It goes perfectly with a cuisine characterised by herbs, vegetarian, fish, meat - anything goes.
