Overall, however, the sparkling wine is fuller there and lines the mouth with charming ripe-sweet notes. Despite the sweet notes, it does without unnecessary dosage and counters the fruit with fine acidity.

Information about wine

The grapes for this sparkling wine come from vineyards in Langenlois and Gumpoldskirchen. Harvesting was done by hand in 20 kg crates at the beginning to middle of September 2015.
After a whole bunch pressing with a yield of 50 litres of juice from 100 kg of grapes as well as a pre-clarification of about 40 hours, Pinot noir, St. Laurent and Zweigelt were fermented after spontaneous fermentation at 18 to 22 ºC for two to four weeks in steel tanks. There the wine remained on the fine lees for six months. The cuvée was bottled on 1.8.2017. Sur lattes it remained until July 2019. After that, the riddling was done by hand. It was started with 3 g/l dosage and an addition of about 20 mg/l SO2 before filling and 15 mg/l during degorgement.

salmon with lively mousseux

Nose

The Brut Rosé is a pleasantly cool and taut sparkling wine that opens with floral as well as red berry notes. It is mainly red currants, small wild strawberries that have just ripened as well as sour and sweet cherries that characterize the aromatics here. However, it becomes really charming with the additional tones of nuts and a freshly buttered slice of brioche.

Palate

The cool notes also show on the palate. Overall, however, the sparkling wine is fuller there and lines the mouth with charming ripe-sweet notes. Besides red and also a little dark fruit, there is some gianduia. The mousseux is fine and lively, the sparkling wine seems powerful and yet remains balanced, fine and elegant. Despite the sweet notes, it does without unnecessary dosage and counters the fruit with fine acidity.
