Colour & appearance

In the glass, this Chardonnay presents itself in a radiant, medium straw yellow colour - bright and inviting, with remarkable clarity that indicates careful vinification.

Nose

The bouquet immediately reveals why unclassified monopollages are often underestimated treasures. This Clos de la Perrière unfolds a complex, seductive citrus aroma with fascinating complexity: green, yellow and orange-coloured nuances alternate. These are joined by Green pineapple, fresh lemon zest and a fine herbal note. The mineral component - crushed limestone and rock spice - is particularly appealing, complemented by elegant wood notes and the scent of hazelnuts. An aromatic profile that goes far beyond the simple Bourgogne standard.

Palate

On the palate, the wine surprises with an initially softer, more sensual texture than expected. silky and accessible. But then the true personality unfolds: lively freshness meets pronounced minerality, a fine rocky spiciness and salty notes create tension. A light phenolic grip and subtle tobacco notes lend structure, while a hint of extract sweetness provides balance. The combination of elegance and substance makes this wine a remarkable value for money.

General information

The Chardonnay comes from an unclassified monopole between Corpeau and Puligny-Montrachet. After selective manual harvesting, the grapes were gently pressed whole and fermented with natural yeasts in wooden cuves. The wine is aged for twelve months in Pièces and Tonneaux (maximum 15% new wood) gives the wine complexity without dominance. Unfined, unfiltered and bottled with minimal sulphur - craftsmanship at the highest level.

Food pairing suggestions

The mineral freshness and silky texture harmonise perfectly with Scallops on yellow watermelon with vanilla, Wood mackerel tartare with passion fruit, cucumber and Dijon mustard or Jacket potatoes with sea salt, lemon and orange slices and fresh garden herbs.
