Nose
The Attis 2021 Albariño Lias Finas delivers what its name promises. The Galician parade variety comes through just as clearly as its make. Grapefruit, blood orange and kaffir lime dominate the nose. Especially the leaves of the latter fruit are loudly recognisable. It is complemented by delicate hints of bergamot and mirabelle. Papaya and mango provide exotic moments in the background. The longer contact with the fine yeast provides above all textural advantages. In the nose, it shines at the beginning with hints of almond plait and butter brioche. With a little patience, fine, stony accents and a hint of the Atlantic are revealed in the glass. Oyster shell, fresh seaweed and sea spray finally put a proper maritime stamp on it. A hint of turmeric only becomes perceptible as the temperature rises.
Palate
In the nose, it then shines and comes up trumps. The fruit is purposefully and precisely brought out. However, it lives above all from its great texture. First of all, the sparse minerality typical of the Val do Salnes should be emphasised. Stony, salty and absolutely lean. The fine melting of the yeast has a balancing and harmonious effect. The maritime hints of the nose perfectly match this mouthfeel. Acidity and fruit deliver a never-ending rollercoaster of emotions. A pleasant spiciness adds the final kick. Sensational at this price level.
