Wine information
Hand-harvested at 40hl/ha from the slopes of the sandy south/south-east slopes at 400-480 m altitude.
The grapes were destemmed to 100% and pressed with a pneumatic press after light skin contact. Fermentation took place in steel tank chilled with wild yeasts while the lees were stirred weekly. No fining and only light filtration before bottling.
Color
Bright sparkling mother-of-pearl with delicate violet reflections.
Nose
Fresh bright red fruits such as rhubarb, wild raspberry and strawberry make the start. The charming fruit is accompanied by fresh rosemary, thyme and pink pepper, light and dark flowers round off its extremely animating fragrance beautifully.
Palate
On the tongue, the 2020 1769 Clos Venturi Rosé surprises with freshness, lots of herbal notes and pepper. The full-bodied taste of tomato and the intensely salty trace provide a lot of umami on the palate. A complex rosé wine that not only whets the appetite, but is also simply perfect for balmy summer nights.
