Color
Sparkling golden yellow with delicate green reflections.
Nose
Due to its youth, the 2014 Riesling Schlossberg is still a bit shy and clearly closed with a lot of stony and cool minerality. It needs a large glass and plenty of air, then fine fruit aromas of citrus, mango, apricot and honeydew melon gradually emerge. Charming are the fine ginger. Lime zest and lemongrass notes that are accompanied by elderflower and lemon balm.
Palate
If you take the 2015 Riesling Schlossberg on the tongue, it surprises with a great pleasantly tart lime note and a fresh acidity, which is embedded in the melting of the wine. Fruit notes of young pineapple, grapefruit and peach only hint at the moment, but you can already guess. A wine that is still holding back at the moment, but if you know the Schlossberg you know it will unfold its full splendour in a few years and then shine all the more. Great maturity potential!
Recommendation
If you want to enjoy it at this point, please decant it with enough time in advance!
