The Pranzegg winery is named after the estate where Martin Gojer has been producing his wines since 2009 as a reflection of their origin, the vintage and the family's way of life. Above the Bolzano valley basin, Gojer's vineyards are farmed biodynamically by hand, and in the cellar, too, less is more Long fermentation and long maturation periods on the full lees with the addition of only small amounts of sulphur characterise the wines, which are always bottled unfined and unfiltered.
The Vino Rosso Leggero without a vintage consists of 90% Vernatsch with 10% Lagrein, the part of Merlot previously contained in it is omitted, as the plants have been re-grafted with Gewürztraminer.
Color
Bright cherry red with slight cloudiness.
Nose
Martin Gojer's Vino Rosso Leggero is almost wet and unashamedly cherry-fruity on the nose, its joyful bouquet radiating from the goblet into the evening sky like an anti-aircraft spotlight in front of a large disco. Joyful with cheeky fruit, it quickly purses the lips towards the goblet and fills the glass well above the calibration mark. Serve chilled is the imperative of the drink, which one gladly obeys.
Mouth
The cheeky fruit has not promised anything it is not capable of delivering and also delights the inclined drinker on the palate with rich cherry. Flanked by fine phenolics on the tongue's edge, it is reminiscent of aromatic kitchen herbs such as laurel or sage. The ripe acidity acts as an invigorating drinking accelerator of this excellently general drink, which you don't have to explain, but simply drink up. Strikingly high punch guaranteed.
