Info about the wine
Costabisaccia is a 30-year-old, north-facing vineyard in the hills around Grisì, about 25 kilometres southeast of Alcamo. There, the autochthonous Catarratto grows at 600 metres above sea level and always produces storable wines with clear varietal typicity.
Info about the expansion
The grapes are pressed and macerate on the skins for 24 hours under temperature control. Fermented spontaneously in steel tanks, the wine matures on its lees for six months before being released for sale.
Color
Brilliant golden yellow with copper reflections.
Nose
The 2021 Costabisaccia presents itself with a fruit basket full of exotic fruits. Orange, mango, pineapple, banana, banana peel make the start, accompanied by a variety of herbs, such as sage, eucalyptus, camomile. The whole is rounded off by vanilla and white chocolate, a hint of light tobacco is included.
Palate
On the tongue, it is the delightful combination of tart spice and juicy yellow fruit as well as animating acidity that makes this wine so special. A wonderful food companion with a charming structure and beautiful length and depth. A lot of wine in the glass for little money, great discovery!
