Wine information
The Tros del Clos comes from a Carignan plot planted in 1911 and is the oldest of the estate. It consists of Llicorella and is located at an altitude of 370 meters. The grapes were sorted out berry by berry, fermented for over 30 days in a wooden fermenter and aged for over twelve months in large French wood.

Nose
Already in the fragrance is the Tros del Clos a breathtakingly seductive wine. It manages the balancing act between lush ripeness and cool finesse. The old Carignan vines offer a lavish abundance of blackberries, wild strawberries, blueberries and plum, along with underbrush, truffle, licorice, cedar, smoke and peat. As the wine warms, the slightly oriental notes of sandalwood, cinnamon and cardamom become stronger, while a mineral coolness resonates in the background.
Mouth
What a pleasure! Black cherries, blueberries and blackberries mingle with milk chocolate and glide silkily over the tongue. It is a feast of opulence and ripeness, infused with powdery tannin, accompanied by the finest wood, infused with precise acidity. The Tros del Clos is vibrantly mineral through and through, as is only possible with ancient vines that have made their way in such a special rock. The wine is still bloody young and yet already lavish, it is deep and very long. In short, this is a big one that can be enjoyed with a big decanter right now. However, it will not hurt at all to put it aside a little longer.
