Color
Dark purple with violet reflections and opaque black core.
Nose
Black cherries and black pepper are typical aromas of Syrah, which are also found in high concentration in the 2016 Suisassi from Duemani. They appear distinctively Tuscan, a self-confidence that suits the Syrah extremely well, because it gives it a clear character of origin. Balsamic notes in the overtone range are harmoniously underpinned by mild herbs such as thyme and rosemary as well as pickled cherries and fresh bay leaves. Absolutely carafe and drink from big Burgundy glasses.
Mouth
Dense black velvet probably describes the haptic sensation of this Syrah best. With high-pile tannins, it first lines the mouth and then the entire taster. Its opulent tannins and rich, concentrated fruit initially make seemingly fat cheeks until the taut acidic bow takes over and gives it tremendous pace. With cool minerality and fresh verve, it flows faster and faster across the palate that it just rushes. A Syrah with special equipment, but standard. Who does not want to wait takes big glasses and the Magnum carafe, patient drinkers put him for several years in the cellar.
