Color
Light golden yellow with bright reflections.
Nose
Ripe and powerful, the 2011 Sporen Riesling Grand Cru from Domaine Trapet exudes its lush bouquet from the glass, modesty is not its mission. Its exuberant, fully ripe fruit is underpinned by mild spicy notes. Grown on heavy clay and marl soils, the aromas are correspondingly concise and expressive.
Mouth
In the nose with emphasis and fruity extract, rounded off by mild spices mace, star anise and cloves spice the lush drink and provide for proper Ramba Zamba on the palate. After the initial fruit attack, it builds up good pressure and is carried by deep extract and ripe acidity. Riesling with broad shoulders and solid appearance.
