Sparkling wine information
There is a single plot of Pinot Noir in the Clemens Busch vineyard that was planted about 30 years ago and is no larger than 1,600 m². Until the 2005 vintage, red wines were pressed from the grapes. Now it is mostly the first grapes that are harvested each year in order to keep a fresh acidity and to bring only healthy grapes into the cellar. The base wine for the Pinot Noir sparkling wine is pressed as Blanc de Noir and bottled after about ten months of ripening. After 50 months of yeast storage in traditional bottle fermentation, the wines were disgorged in October 2019 and corked without dosage to create a "Brut nature". Only 357 bottles were produced.
Color/Look
Delicate mother of pearl with copper reflections, fine pearly mousseux.
Nose
The 2014 Pinot Noir sparkling wine from Busch presents itself with a seductive aroma of small red berries, red apple, apple sauce, wild herbs and rosehip. Underlying is the fine aroma of freshly baked yeast bread and almond.
Palate
Juicy and compact, the 2014 Pinot Noir sparkling wine from Busch glides over the tongue. Its fine and very long-lasting perlage is perfectly integrated into a juicy fruit melt. Despite the low dosage, it appears charming and fruity-sweet on the tongue, its carbonic acid challenges the taster, a precise and wonderfully demanding vintner's sparkling wine. Its long finish is marked by fine spice and sweet almonds. The perfect aperitif and an excellent companion to aromatic, earthy cuisine.
