Colour depth
This outstanding 2016 Riesling Ried Bruck shimmers in a brilliant golden yellow. The silver rim is charmingly highlighted by the soft green reflections.
Bouquet
The nose is ensnared with an abundance of ripe fruit aromas such as apple, quince and banana, followed by the exotic notes of mango, dried apricot and honey. Aromas of aniseed and candied ginger add to the appeal and intensify the first impression. The full minerals and spicy spice notes set a nice frame.
Taste
On the palate, the Riesling Ried Bruck shows itself in all its glory, an explosion of saltiness and intense, crisp acidity. The lean and incredibly precise flavours are surprising and offer an incomparable experience. This wine will truly be a marathon runner, with incredible ageing potential. Current enjoyment strongly recommends aeration and can also easily tolerate a few years of ageing.
Food suggestions
Enjoy the Riesling Ried Bruck with a hearty risotto of Hokkaido pumpkin and feta cheese or try a combination of smoked salmon with avocado, sea salt and lime zest. This divine wine is also perfect with chicken piccata with jacket potatoes to round off a delicious meal.
