Wine information
30 hectares of vineyards, spread over 17 parcels near Jouques, located about 30 kilometres north of Aix-en-Provence in the protection of the Montagne Sainte-Victoire, belong to Château Revelette. PUR Blanc 2022 is a cuvée of 60 % Ugni Blanc, 25 % Carignan Blanc and 15 % Rolle. After hand harvesting, Ugni Blanc and Carignan Blanc were directly pressed at 20°C, the Rolle crushed, and macerated in the juice of the Ugni Blanc for 4 weeks, with daily punching down. Ageing took place in egg-shaped tanks on full lees. The wine was not racked and was bottled without the addition of sulphites.

golden yellow
Nose
The PUR Blanc smells of slightly caramelised nuts, thyme, lavender and jasmine with a little hay. The fruit is reminiscent of quince, ripe pears and apples including peel, as well as a little orange. The wine presents itself dense and ripe, slightly tart and creamy with a discreetly cool note. One expects a mouthful of wine.
Palate
This expectation is confirmed on the palate. This is a juicy, mouth-filling example that brings plenty but not too much tannin due to the extended maceration time. The PUR Blanc appears distinctly fresh and its acid structure precise and lean. Besides the clear fruit, which is mainly characterised by green and yellow apples and lemons, the wine appears salty and taut. The sweetness that is foreseen in the bouquet is not to be found here. The wine is dry and clear with a salty finish.
