Wine
Huet, Le Mont Moelleux 1ère Trie 2015, Vouvray
Color
deep golden yellow
Nose
Of the three 1ère Trie of the 2015 vintage, the Le Mont is - quite typically - currently the most closed. It shows some notes of pear must, some spice of galangal and saffron as well as brioche and bread dough. Nevertheless, one already notices the hidden power of this Vouvray in the fragrance.
Palate
Le Mont, the site that brings the smoky elements to Vouvray, also shows its dark and spicy side in this 1ère Trie. Underneath, the Chenin Blanc is firmly woven with its stony minerality and extract spice. Overlying this is stone fruit that combines with a distinct aloe vera component. Floating light and fragrant are the notes of hay, chamomile and elderberry. The acidity currently takes the leading role. It guides this wine, it pulls it together, it counters the lavish sweetness, it provides bite and vibrancy and makes the 2015 vintage a great one.

(Seafood, Lobster & Crawfish)
- Mille-feuille of wild strawberries and yellow peach
