Color
Bright yellow with bright green reflections.
Nose
In the nose fragrant, after fresh pastry, doughnuts, with Tahiti vanilla in their cream filling. With enough air the typical "Gewurz" notes show floral elements after lime blossom, tropical fruit, mango and lychee as well as slightly balsamic notes after bright spices like mace and yellow cardamom. The nose is balanced without any baroque citation.
Mouth
On the palate, the 2013 Clos Windsbuhl Traminer is stringently focused. The cool location also ensures a taut appearance in the glass, without velvet, brocade and other regalia. Crystal clear Gewurztraminer aromas, the sweetness clearly carried by the firm minerality. It is present from the start to the long finish and offers what few drinkers associate with Gewurz - drinking fun!
