Sparkling straw yellow with green reflections
The Espenyalluchs is an absolute character wine. Unchangeable and full of the signature of its creator. The Xarel-lo shows itself as usual shy, but leaves plenty of space for the make and origin to unfold. A subtle yeasty tone complements the aromas of wet stone and wet chalk magnificently. Slightly smoky hints, caramelized quince and fresh pears emerge in the background. Also yellow blossoms and a little almond make themselves broad with patience in the glass.
On the palate, this wine captivates you immediately. The salinity immediately coats the tooth surfaces. The present but pleasant acidity works congenially with the minerality. Salt and acidity really deliver a rollercoaster of emotions here. This has due pressure, but is not remotely broad, but crystal clear. A truly crystalline wine. With very fine melting it paves its way into an almost infinitely elegant finish. The words "timeless" and "great" circle inevitably over the wine.
