Wine information
The Escherndorfer Lump Silvaner grapes grow on the oldest vineyard of the winery, which towers magnificently above the shining vineyard cottage. The vines here are rooted in a considerably poorer soil than at the foot of the slope, which forces them to penetrate deep into the underlying shell limestone.
About the ripening process
The fruit was harvested relatively early to create a wine that does not appear too overripe or heavy. The grapes spent a night in maceration, which drew a certain structure from their skins. After pressing, the must underwent a natural fermentation in stainless steel. In parallel, malolactic fermentation took place. The wine matured for a complete year on the full lees, which gives it a certain inner serenity.
Colour scheme

Fragrance profile
The 2021 Escherndorfer Lump Silvaner exudes the scent of bright fruits, including pear, yellow apple and quince. They are accompanied by a subtle citrus note as well as a hint of vanilla. With its crystal-clear and precise aroma, this wine literally seduces you to taste it for the first time.
Taste experience
A remarkable feature of this wine is its refreshing and at the same time minimalist, purist structure, which clearly stimulates the drinking flow. This probably leads to the bottle being empty more quickly than one might think. This wine harmonises superbly with fine and aromatic cuisine and promises to complement it in a refreshing and dynamic way.
Alternative food recommendations
Try it with a chilled cucumber soup with fresh herbs and savoury goat cheese, accompanied by crunchy spelt biscuits. It also goes wonderfully with steamed cod with a side salad of wild herbs and mango. Or experience it together with crayfish served on a bed of spinach, roasted nuts and apricots.
