Color
Purple and transparent with a violet core.
Nose
Domaine du Coulet's 2014 Brise Cailloux smells of crushed berry fruits like raspberry, blackberry and blueberry. Accompanied by a handful of cherries and a quart of long pepper, it gets a back-up of jerky, fatty bacon and black cardamom. A fruity, smoky melange with the promise of vibrant minerality on the nose.
Mouth
Fermented in concrete and aged in used barrels, the Brise Cailloux has a racy attack with rally stripes. With rapid, juicy fruit and wiry stature, it flows from the goblet with the indicator left. Fine, polished tannins accelerate its drinking train and tighten its lean figure. Revealing with rich cherry fruit, it flows gurgling into the long finish.
