Color
The wine shows itself in bright golden yellow with discreet silvery reflexes clear and shining in the glass.
Nose
Aromas of yellow-fleshed fruits cavort in the glass, as if they had come together in a refreshing salad. Besides mango, honeydew melon and physalis, some rhinoceros pear and banana bread. Lemon verbena, cress and lime zest provide freshness while some forest honey pretends sweetness and nutmeg spicy rounds off.
Palate
During the first sip, the fruit intensifies directly and a hint of banana is added. However, this is far from over-extracted, artificial or put on, but shows itself in the ripe, but still green garb of an extremely tasty plantain and is thus consistently positive to look at. As such, the 2018 Chablis Premier Cru Montmains from Domaine de l'Enclos carries a pleasing clarity and straightforwardness. The slightly pronounced exoticism of the fruit flavors never becomes cheesy or overbearing. It is filled with subtlety and elegance through a long acid arc and gossamer bitterness.
