Celler Batlle has been among the top Spanish sparkling wines for many years. It comes from the Finca Font Jui, the most important single vineyard of the house, which is cultivated in chateau style according to biodynamic principles on limestone soils. Xarel-lo and Macabeo are pressed whole, fermented in steel tanks and then aged in the historic cavas for a full 100 months in the bottle. The fine dosage of 5.5g from the hundred-year-old solera gives the wine endless power and the retronasal aromas don't want to end. Xarel-lo gives the wine freshness, the Macabeo the fine acidity to withstand the long ageing period. Serve in a large glass. Perfect to drink now and put in the cellar for a few more years. The search for the most charming food companion is over.
Color

Nose
Complex on the nose, Gramona Celler Batlle is dominated by candied fruit such as quince and peach, with a slight spiciness of white pepper and its subtle thyme spice complemented by a subtly sweet scent of nut butter.
Palate
It is also mature and complex on the palate. Its maturity is clearly shown through the candied fruits and leaves an elegant creamy mouthfeel. The discreet perlage lends a lasting freshness. In the aftertaste, a slight spiciness remains, characterised by thyme and white pepper.
