ATTIS is the project of the two brothers Robustiano and Baldomero Fariña, who joined forces with French oenologist Jean François Hebrard to help the Rias Baixas and its terroirs find the perfect expression.
The NANA comes from the Val do Salnés subzone in Rías Baixas and is made from 100% Albariño. Grown in the family's oldest vineyards, the vines stand on soils rich in granite with a sandy-loamy component and a north-western exposure. Hand-picked, the grapes are destemmed after acceptance and only the first pressing is used. The must then ferments spontaneously in 225 and 500 litre French oak barrels and matures on the lees for 12 months with regular battonage.
Color
Golden yellow with bright reflections, radiant and clear.
Nose
On the nose, the 2019 NANA is expansive and generous with ripe fruit notes of Williams pear, apricots and white peach. It is accompanied by emphatically nutty notes of salted and roasted hazelnuts and iodine accents that underline its maritime Atlantic character. A rich overall appearance that makes the tooth drip quickly.
Mouth
Super juicy with zesty acidity and aromatic depth on the nose, the rich fruit is clearly disciplined on the palate by the subtle tannin and nutty spice. With a viscous feel, it is initially full-bodied and expansive, but visibly slims down towards the finish. Citrus oils, orange blossom, a little thyme and again salted nuts make it a congenial partner for elaborate seafood escapades.
