Wine profile
This particular Champagne is made from complete Blanc-de-Blancs Chardonnay from the fascinating Troissy. The vineyards there shine with an amazing ensemble of chalk, sand, limestone, marl, clay and carbonate rock, with brown clay playing the leading role. With a dosage of 2.4 grams, it relies on a fine balance. After the tirage was started in April 2020, the noble dégorgement was carried out in February 2023.
Optics
In the middle of straw yellow, this champagne gives a lively sparkle.
Fragrance
Right from the start, the "Aria" presents itself with the essence of a classic Blanc de Blancs. The nose is spoiled by limequat, lemon and grapefruit, rounded off with accents of lemon curd, bread crust and fine notes of grated hazelnuts and almonds. The autolytic facets of brioche are subtly woven into the background, complemented by stony aromas.
Taste
On the palate, the "Aria" creates a pleasurable tension. The citrus notes detected during the tasting come into play again here, accompanied by a lively acidity and sparkling perlage. This champagne feels dry and slightly grippy at the same time; one can imagine having a small piece of white nougat soaked in lemon juice, which creates a delicious harmony. The champagne leaves a dry, citrusy finish with a fine creaminess.
