Wine information

After selective hand-picking and a short maceration period, it was fermented spontaneously and then matured for 48 months in barrels and steel tanks.

Color

Medium golden yellow with clear silver and green reflections.

Nose

The 2019 Zeitspiel 4 Sauvignon Blanc Spätfüllung impresses with its compact minerality and enormous depth. It definitely needs a carafe to start with. It then reveals intense aromas of gooseberries, passion fruit, cassis, wild mint, nettle, freshly ground white pepper and elderberry wood. An impressive and brilliant start.

Palate

Great winemaking skill is evident on the palate. In addition to the fruit, we encounter crystalline acidity, fine tannins and an extremely skilful and subtle use of wood. Despite its expressiveness and strength, this wine seems to literally float, which is emphasised by the moderate alcohol content of 12.5 vol%. Patience and long ageing on the fine lees have paid off; the result is convincing across the board. It loves to accompany dishes with fruity, exotic and savoury influences.

Decant and enjoy not too cold from large glasses.
