Wine information
The estate Riesling "Jacobus" bears its name due to the history of the winery; in the vineyard and cellar, wine has been produced with respect and much knowledge for generations. The name was chosen in reminiscence of the founding father Jacobus, who founded the Kühn dynasty through his marriage in 1704 in Oestrich. The name Jacobus has remained in the family name for eleven generations.
Information on the expansion
100 % Hand harvest, gentle whole cluster pressing, spontaneous fermentation with the natural yeasts, ageing on the full lees until the end of March in large wooden barrels and stainless steel tanks. Bottled in Jukli 2021.
Color
Bright, luminous golden yellow with clear green reflections.
Nose
Due to its youthfulness, the 2020 Riesling Jacobus still presents itself somewhat closed. With sufficient oxygen contact, fine fruity aromas of apple, vineyard peach and orange, as well as floral components reminiscent of elderflower and yarrow emerge.
Palate
On the palate, it is charming and incredibly precise, the extremely fresh acidity combines with salty, mineral notes. The saliva flows and the taster is stimulated and inspired. Its fragrance and taste like the combination with vegetables and fruity components. This wonderful entry-level wine from the house of Kühn is, as always, a pleasure and already testifies to the top quality from the house of Kühn in the entry-level segment.
