Nose
The 2016 Pouilly-Vinzelles Climat "Les Quarts" presents itself with finely woven aromatics on the nose. Firm woody pear, apple, lots of quince and apricot, combine with delicate hints of aniseed and a broad and deep minerality. With the necessary oxygen contact, the preceding subtle use of wood pleasantly emerges.
Palate
The 2016 Pouilly-Vinzelles Climat "Les Quarts" is dense and juicy on the tongue. Its acidity comes through beautifully, but is nicely cushioned by a lot of fruit melt and dense minerality. The stimulating aftertaste radiates coolness and promotes the drinking flow, a wine that appreciates dishes with fine tart notes.
Food recommendation
Enjoy decanted, not too cold from a large glass.
