About the wine
Even though the name suggests that there might be more Pinot Blanc than Auxerrois here, it is the other way around. The cuvée consists of about 75 % Auxerrois and 25 % Pinot Blanc from several plots around Wettolsheim with marly limestone and gravel. The age of the vines is 30 years.

Nose
The 2022s Pinot Blanc Auxerrois is juicy and fruity on the nose with notes of crisp and ripe pears and apples. A scent of acacia and lime blossom and a little lemon and anise accompany the fruit. The wine already appears appetisingly fresh on the nose, slightly spicy as well as stony, and one definitely expects a touch of tannin on the palate.
Palate
Here, the fully fermented cuvée appears creamy and charming, but in fact offers a pleasant grip in combination with a southern-looking spiciness in addition to the juicy fruit and ripe acidity. The ripeness of the acidity is offset by the minerality, so that the Pinot Blanc Auxerrois pleasantly fresh and lively.
