Color
Dark yellow with bright reflections.
Nose
The nose of the 2015 Grand Blanc from Chateau Revelette is a conglomerate of the scents of the South. The clear, ripe fruit of apricot and melon is topped with candied orange peel and is spiced up with bay leaf, sage and ground oyster shell. With obligatory aeration in constant change like a chameleon.
Mouth
Herbaceous and tart on the palate, the noble bitterness quickly makes the saliva shoot in. Laurel underpins the ripe fruit which is accompanied by an elegantly woven acidic nerve. The very warm 2015 vintage brought full ripeness that is reflected in the lush fruit. 15% Ugni Blanc, fermented on the skins give it additional structure and a cool mouthfeel along with a long, fruity mineral finish. Good ageing potential!
