It is widely unknown that Spain is the second highest country in Europe after Switzerland. The central plateau stretches far and wide. Many growing areas have nothing in common with the hot holiday region. Extremadura in the west of the country also has a hot but temperate climate. The soils on slate, sand and limestone marl are poor and there is a dry climate.

The cuvée consists of Tempranillo, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Dark cherry red

Concentrated black fruits such as blackberry, morello cherry, cassis and black cherry stand out in the glass. The intense nose shows many Mediterranean attributes Ripe tomato, but especially black olive and rosemary. Also a little graphite and ethereal notes like eucalyptus spread.

On the palate, the Habla de la Tierra shows all its dark attributes. Above all, however, it presents itself fruity. Rather cool seeming he spreads a great drinking pleasure and seems neither bulky nor jammy. The dark fruit is still slightly lactic, but stands perfectly next to the present acidity. This is a really well made wine that promises enjoyment well above its price point. A great wine for the open bar as well as with numerous uncomplicated dishes, which should cover the taste of many customers.

Food recommendations from Marian Henß

  • Rack of lamb with herb crust, herb dumplings, brown bread croutons
