Nose
With its scent of sage, mint, camomile and fresh earth, the 2020 Grüner Veltliner from Riede Steinberg transports the taster directly outside to the wildly growing meadow. The whole thing is mixed with clear minerality. With oxygen, the finest fruity notes are added, reminiscent of apricot, apples, quince and sweet grapefruit. A fragrant veil of elderflower and also some tobacco dance over it.
Palate
Charmingly it meets the tongue, lots of yellow fruit that combines with mustard and pepper notes as well as refreshing herbs. The finely chiselled acidity is perfectly integrated into its fruit melt. Tip-top food companion with juicy elegance and length.
