Info about the wine
The Grenache, Carignan and Syrah vines stand on black slate and red clay in the highest mountains of Vila del Lloar at 350-450m and are 20-40 years old.
Fermentation in steel tank with part of the stems and some pigeage for 20 days and ageing in French wooden barrels for 12 months. Minimal use of sulphur.
Color
Intense purple red with clear violet reflections.
Nose
The 2020 Gotes del Priorat smells intensely of sour cherries, blueberries and blackberries, accompanied by distinct floral and herbal aromas reminiscent of roses, violets, lavender, thyme and rosemary.
Palate
On the palate, it shows the same fruity freshness as on the nose, accompanied by an animating and delicate acidity and a beguiling minerality that gives it a very nice framework. The tannin structure is polished and fine-grained, the long finish points to the storability of this drop, which can be enjoyed excellently even in its youthful stage.
A wonderful red wine that also goes very well with fish and vegetarian dishes.
