This wine perfectly embodies the harmony between traditional craftsmanship and modern knowledge. From the grape to the bottle, its production has avoided any artificial influence, instead adopting a biodynamic approach. Without fining or filtering, but with low SO2 bottling, this Gluegglich Rosé is a masterpiece that captivates with its deep roots in Austrian grape varieties. Its fermentation was partially carried out with berries, while its maturation period took place patiently in wooden barrels.
In its colouring, the wine is reminiscent of a ripe pomegranate, whose pink is interspersed with bright pink reflections. A bouquet of fresh red berries, delicate vanilla and fruity sweets unfolds on the nose. This is complemented by a distinct yeast note, which gives the wine depth, as well as fragrant flowers and refreshing herbal notes. A tantalising foretaste of what awaits on the palate.
On tasting, the wine turns out to be a berry-fruity experience with spicy elements. Cool fresh spice meets herbal notes of chervil and wild mint and tickles the palate. With only 11 percent alcohol by volume, the wine can be enjoyed carefree, whether solo or in combination with a matching meal that is just as much fun as the wine itself.
A tomato galette with goat cheese or a tender fillet of sole with strawberries in elderflower syrup are recommended as food accompaniments. But stuffed tomatoes enriched with quinoa, olives and lean minced beef also complement this versatile wine wonderfully.
