Color
Pale yellow with green reflections and silver tapered rim.
Nose
The 2015 Clos Saint Urban Rangen de Thann Gewurztraminer Grand Cru from Zind Humbrecht is of captivating understatement. Gewurz obliges, the total fruit excess is of course kept in check. Orange blossom, lychee and rose water are arranged on the wooden sideboard in the next room, the floor freshly boned, the hair gelled and parted. With aristocratic noblesse he is accurately groomed and powdered, everything in the right place.
Mouth
In the nose chaste with elegant stature and slender flow. The floral aromatics also show on the palate with great noblesse, never loud, but emphatically with a delicately pronounced profile. The gustatory windows open, the rose garden in front of the salon strikes in soft pink in the drink. Creamy in texture with a persistent finish, this Gewurz combines perfume, fruit and aristocratic drinking pleasure with lean body and great length. For now, next week or the next decade. Always a pleasure.
