Nose
The 2021 Matassa El Carner conveys pure freshness in the fragrance wild berries, countless herbs and floral aromas such as rosemary, thyme and sage, hedge roses, elderflower, elderwood and tea leaves. Wild, original, independent and seductive.
Palate
You can literally chew this wonderful wine with its gripping, dense and salty structure. At the same time, it shows wonderful freshness, lots of red, invigorating fruit, earthy hints of beetroot and the finest tannin on the palate and in the long finish. An absolutely perfect wine that encourages you to drink more with every sip, and that at only a spectacularly low 11 Vol%.
Best enjoyed chilled, decanted, from large glasses.
