  • 🎨 Color: Details about the colour are not directly described, but one can expect a rich and deep hue typical of Burgundy.
  • 👃 Aroma: The aroma could emphasise the nuances typical of Burgundy, such as ripe fruit, a fine spiciness and possibly hints of wood due to ageing in barriques and barrels from Burgundy.
  • 👅 Taste: Vinous, juicy, full-bodied and drinkable, but complex at the same time. A harmony that captures the senses and never lets go.
  • 🎭 Character: A style that is out of the ordinary - not taut and sparse, but with an opulent and inviting complexity reminiscent of the learning years in Burgundy.
  • 🍽️ Food recommendations: No direct recommendations are given, but due to its full-bodied, complex character, the wine would probably be an excellent accompaniment to rich dishes, possibly gourmet dishes or fine meats.
  • Special features: Organic certification since the takeover in 2015, low production volume with a maximum target of 15,000 bottles. Fermentation in stainless steel and barrique, ageing in barrels from Burgundy; minimal or no dosage, low sulphur dioxide content.

Raphael and Hannah Piconnet took over their inheritance from Raphael's father in 2015 and immediately switched to organic. He trained in Burgundy - which is evident in the style - and she comes from East Frisia. 2015 was the first vintage with just 5,000 bottles. The plan is to make a few more over the years, but the final target is no more than 15,000. That is the amount they can and want to produce with their small team. Everything with no or minimal dosage and either no SO2 or as little as possible. The grapes are harvested when ripe. The base wines are fermented partly in stainless steel and partly in barriques and then stored in barrels from Burgundy. The style is out of the ordinary! Not taut and austere, but vinous, juicy, full-bodied, drinkable but complex - it grabs you and won't let go. This is Burgundy with pearls.
