We met Andrée and Jean-Louis Trapet at a wine fair on the Loire. They share a deep respect for the terroir and tradition of Burgundy wines. The Trapet estate has a long tradition in Gevrey-Chambertin. One can fall back on a multitude of best vineyards with vines up to 100 years old. Chambertin Grand Cru forms the top of a whole series of outstanding sites. The greatest care is taken in the vineyard as well as in the cellar. They see themselves as companions to their vines. Careful grape selection and delicate pressing are a matter of course here. The result is wines of the highest precision and authenticity, in which every nuance of the terroir is reflected.
