Out of stock

On the palate, trenchant and meticulously straightforward, the 2015 Blaufränkisch Alter Berg by Heike and Gernot Heinrich shows, with care, air, patience and in a large glass, where its strength and sublimity lie Length instead of breadth and expressiveness instead of volume. A self-confident, mature and coherent wine with exorbitant ageing potential.

Color

Dark purple in colour with a violet rim and opaque core, the wine shows clearly and brilliantly in the glass.

Nose

This parade Blaufränkisch from the Leithagebirge comes from barren limestone soils between cooling forests and with a view of Lake Neusiedl. Aromatically, it is exclusively dedicated to purism. Radiant with clarity, the black cherry reflects itself many times over, from its skin to its flesh and juice to its core. It is subtly supported by the subtle toasted aromas of brown bread and chestnuts and the sturdy earthiness of moss and herb seedlings. One finds oneself mentally on a still steaming street, which has been cooled down by summer rain and exudes its scent.

Palate

On the palate, trenchant and meticulously straightforward, the 2015 Blaufränkisch Alter Berg from Heike and Gernot Heinrich shows, with care, air, patience and in a large glass, where its strength and sublimity lie Length instead of breadth and expressiveness instead of volume. Because it is not the volume that is decisive, but the sound quality.

Delicately stimulating acidity and the purist cool elegance of the fruit enliven, seemingly effortlessly, the dense structure of the fine-grained tannin framework of the 2015 Blaufränkisch Alter Berg. Thus, on the one hand, they put it into vital vibration, but on the other hand, they make it seem wonderfully rested, in the sign of all its unexcitedness.

Self-confident, adult, as well as in itself coherent and thus large wine with exorbitant ageing potential.
