Nose
The 2021 Pét-Nat Rosé AUS from Alta Alella is based on the grape variety Mataró, which we also know as Monastrell. Cassis, raspberry and strawberry flow seductively from the glass. The fruit is almost striking. At the same time, it embodies enormous appeal. Currants and creamy cherry sweets join the fruity round dance. In an uncomplicated way, it conveys a positive attitude towards life.
Palate
On the palate, it continues on its straightforward path. Slim and juicy. Playful fruit with a present but moderate acidity. The carbonic acid provides subtle accents and enlivens it in a refreshing way. It does not melt at all on the palate. The fruit in the aftertaste seems very similar to the nose. It becomes clear that this is about drinking pleasure and a certain nonchalance.
